Literacy Network's resources are constantly evolving to meet the needs of tutors and learners in Dane County. Whenever possible we connect volunteer tutors with free, low-cost or do-it-yourself resources to help them get the most out of lessons.
Our
in-house resources include our library, classrooms, private tutoring rooms and computers with interactive learning software. Outside the building we recommend easily accessible
internet resources that are designed to meet the needs of the adult learner. Please view the links on the left sidebar for more information.
Fall Spanish Class: Enrolling Now!
Literacy Network is offering an exciting Spanish class specially designed with conversation in mind! The class will be interactive, fun, and taught by a certified Spanish instructor. The course centers around TPR (Total Physical Response), a method that mimics the way you learned your first language: by observing, listening and then practicing words and phrases. Be prepared to walk away from the verb charts and start speaking Spanish in your first class! Due to the nature of this method, the vast majority of the class will be conducted in Spanish…but don't worry…you will be amazed at how much you understand!
Since this class is a continuation of our summer course, some previous experience with Spanish is useful, but not necessary. This class is geared towards beginning level students.
